Hi friends! I’m so excited you’re here today as we celebrate the latest and absolutely gorgeous release from Simon Says Stamp – “Happy Camper”. This collection is filled with inspiring products—from versatile stamps and stencils to stunning dies that will get your creativity flowing in no time. If you’re a fan of clean, modern, and elegant design with a handmade touch, you’re going to love what this release has to offer!

Today I’m sharing a card that features several new products from the release and captures that soft, mid-century modern vibe that’s perfect for sending a heartfelt “I love you.”

Card Details – Mid-Century Floral Love

For this card, I used the brand new Mid Century Ethereal Embossing Folder from Simon Says Stamp to create that dreamy, geometric background. I lightly kissed the panel after embossing with white pigment ink onto kraft cardstock for a soft, velvety look that keeps the background interesting without overwhelming the focal point.

The gorgeous flowers are from the Artic Poppies die set. I colored them using ink blending and dye inks to get that deep, romantic fade from pink to white on the petals and soft green on the stems and leaves. I layered the petals and leaves by adding a foam square for some extra dimension and life to the flowers.

I assembled everything over the background. To finish, I added a clean sentiment strip that reads “I LOVE YOU”, then scattered a few clear droplets to give the card a touch of sparkle.

  1. All of your cards are so beautiful! They are all so unique. I wish I had just a little bit of your creativity!

  2. Wow, all your cards with this release are divine Jessica! I adore the way the white highlights look on the kraft cardstock, that embossing folder is so fabulous! I also adore the green coverplate diecut over the black. All the cards are stunning, but these two are totally my thing! Gorgeous xoxo

    1. Cute cards! I love flower dies so much and this one is so sweet! Love the camping stamp too! Great job!

  3. Your cards are amazing! (I’m definitely going to have to get that Artic Poppies die!!) Thank you for sharing!

  4. Cute card! Love kraft card stock. Thank you for sharing. I don’t see many cards made from Kraft. It’s a welcome change!

  5. It looks like you’ve been really busy making cards with this latest SSS release. I love the softness the white pigment ink added on the Kraft cardstock on your first card, that really allowed the Poppy die cuts to stand out. That Mid Century Ethereal embossing folder is great for backgrounds on cards just as you used it, to add amazing texture but it also allows die cuts to stand out. I think your “little gardeners” were adorable on the card using the Mid Century Elemental Plate, that cover die like the Embossing folder adds the perfect background. Your colors were perfect to two little critters to be happily gardening.

  6. I like how the white over kraft background quiets down a potentially busy packground like tone on tone does. I’ll have to remember this! Thanks.

  7. Both cards are amazing. I was drawn to the backgrounds you used (my favorite parts of this new release!) Thanks for sharing 🙂

  8. Beautiful card. I really like the soft texture you created using the white ink on the embossed areas.

  9. Such an elegant card! Love the softness of the embossing folder. And the flowers are blended just right. TFS

  10. Beautiful! I love the simplicity and elegance of this design. The embossed background is amazing and the pretty flower really pops.

  11. Dear Jessica –
These two cards are a testimony to how different two cards can look and be created from the same basic design: the MidCentury products. I love them both but I think the cute characters from Rooting For You on the green card really “make” the card. That card is SUPER fab!

  12. Great background design and beautiful flowers! Love the card you created with these new designs! Beautiful additional cards too, and I am loving those super cute critters!

  13. Love the color blend on the arctic poppies! My favorite card is actually the green one with the black paste background and the critters. It is so eye-catching and awesome!

  14. Pretty cards Jessica. The second card is awesome! The background with the black and green is so cool!

  15. That’s a great clean and simple card. I didn’t like that embossing folder but you made it look stylish.

  16. I love the diversity and simplicity of your cards, It amazes me that all of the makers have different takes on the same materials.

  17. Beautiful and fun cards! I love those poppin’ Poppies and those critters on the 2nd card are adorable! Thanks for the inspiration!
