Its been a minute since I have been on the blog, but I had some time to get some writing done. I have a card for you today using the a couple new dies from the DieCember release with Simon Says Stamp (SSS). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a list of supplies I used for the card&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbtz\">Simon Says Stamp -DELICATE BRANCH Wafer Dies<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbu0\">Simon Says Stamp &#8211; Just Because Wafer Die<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbuo\">Simon Says Stamp &#8211; Strips 1 wafer dies<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330wj\">Simon Says Stamp &#8211; Gold Card Stock 6X6<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/338jg\">Hero Arts Pitch Black card stock<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbu7\">Hero Arts Kiwi card stock<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbu6\">Hero Arts Pesto card stock<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbuc\">Hero Arts Palm card stock<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbu9\">Pinkfresh Gold Pearls<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xv3\">Gink K Amalgam ink<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31eix\"><strong>Simon Says Stamp \u2013 Big Momma foam Tape<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/338j8\">Simon Says Stamp Dot Tape Roller<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2yvmk\">Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2y28v\"><strong>Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock \u2013 card base<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I started by cutting a A2 panel of<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2yvmk\">80 lb card stock.<\/a><\/strong> I then began cutting the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbtz\">Delicate Branch<\/a><\/strong> die out of the same card stock. I cut SO MANY! I think in the end I cut approx. 12 branches. When I was all done, I began gluing them on the panel. I made sure that they didn&#8217;t touch, but were evenly spaced so it looked continuous. When I was done layer the major branches, I put off the over hang and then used the bits and pieces to add a few more to fill in the holes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wanted to add some more dimension, so I began adding a second layer to most of the branches. Its hard to see in the card, but in person, its SO STUNNING to have that branch with two layers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I was happy with the branch on the panel, I set it aside to dry. I added a large acrylic block onto it to keep it flat. It was time to make the sentiment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started with an assortment of <strong>Hero Arts Card Stock<\/strong>. I had a card panel pack, but I was able to locate the colors on the SSS website. I used <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbu6\">Pesto,<\/a><\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbu7\">Kiwi<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbuc\">Palm<\/a><\/strong> for the green. I used the smallest die in my <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbuo\">SSS Strips Die One<\/a><\/strong> pack and cut the strips out of each card stock color twice. I then used a piece of copy paper and my <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/338j8\"><strong>SSS Tape Runner<\/strong><\/a> and covered the piece of copy paper with tape glue. I then began laying the colors strips on in a repeating pattern until I have a piece big enough to create the shadow layer of the <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3bbu0\"><strong>Just Because Die.<\/strong><\/a> I cut the shadow die out and set it aside. I then cut the actual sentiment out of my favorite black card stock, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/338jg\">Hero Arts Pitch Black<\/a><\/strong> and<a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330wj\"><strong> SSS Gold Glitter Card Stock<\/strong><\/a>. I wanted to create a shadow on the gold letters to help pop it off that green background. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I glued everything together and then popped up the sentiment using foam tape and added some gold pearls.
