I adhered it down and then began my ink blend using Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow order. Once I was happy with the blend, I remove the stencil and cleaned it right away. I like to clean my stencils as soon as possible to keep them clean and fresh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I then grabbed my <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brutusmonroe.com\/products\/chroma-glaze-silver?_pos=10&amp;_sid=d2266f93e&amp;_ss=r&amp;aff=132\"><strong>Silver Chroma Glaze<\/strong><\/a><\/strong> and very gently used my finger to spread the chroma glaze randomly on the panel, making sure I had areas that I didn&#8217;t put the glaze. I also made sure not to go back and forth because the chroma glaze had enough moisture in it that it started to move the oxide colors. So I swiped once and moved on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I set the panel aside and worked on my sentiment. I used one from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brutusmonroe.com\/products\/extra-sentimental-6x8-stamp?variant=30327405707318&amp;aff=132\">Extra Sentimental Stamps<\/a> <\/strong>by heat embossing it with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brutusmonroe.com\/products\/copy-of-copy-of-metallic-embossing-powder-sterling?_pos=2&amp;_sid=ae4247521&amp;_ss=r&amp;aff=132\"><strong>Sterling Embossing Powder<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>I prepped the card stock and stamped the image. I then fussy cut it out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I left the panel to dry for about an hour. When I returned I grabbed a brush and began ink blending <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/34p6z\">Black Soot<\/a> Ink<\/strong> over the panel. Once I was happy with the coverage, I grabbed a paper towel and buffed the panel, removing as much of the ink off the chroma glaze that I could. When I was done, I used <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brutusmonroe.com\/products\/raven-ink-pad-reinker-bundle?_pos=3&amp;_sid=c58182dc8&amp;_ss=r&amp;aff=132\">Raven Black Ink<\/a><\/strong> and the Sun image from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brutusmonroe.com\/products\/beach-bum-6x8-stamp-set?_pos=1&amp;_sid=d8c03efd9&amp;_ss=r&amp;aff=132\">Beach Bum Stamps<\/a><\/strong> and randomly stamped the images down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add the splatter, I used White Distress Spray and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/34p6z\">Black Soot<\/a> Oxide Ink <\/strong>smooshed onto my surface with a little water. I spritzed the White first, then used a brush to flick the black on. I let the panel dry again before moving forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finishing the card, I trimmed it down ever so slightly after it was dry and added it to a card base. I then used some <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31eix\"><strong>Big Momma foam Tape<\/strong><\/a> to pop the sentiment up and that was it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe this technique is called Josephs Coat to those who have been in the industry long.
