This was such an experiment turned into a happy outcome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started off with using my <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xum\">Simon Says Stamp Inks<\/a><\/strong> in the following colors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xup\">Pale Blush Pink<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xuq\"><strong>Burnt Orange<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xur\">Duckling<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xut\">Catkin<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xuu\"><strong>Beanstalk Green<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where the experiment started. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xum\">Simon Says Stamp Inks<\/a><\/strong> are not water soluble. Meaning, they do not play well. But I really wanted to have a loose watercolor look, and I wanted to use a more muted, boho color palette. So I thought, why not give her a try! I started by squishing <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xup\">Pale Blush Pink<\/a><\/strong> first and then spritzing it with water. Instantly, the color started to ball up and look sort of gritty. But I went a head and started picking it up with a paint brush, and then taking it to my<a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3055z\"><strong> Tim Holtz Watercolor Distress Cardstock<\/strong><\/a> after stamping the image in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xv3\">Gina K Amalgam Ink<\/a><\/strong> and heat setting it with <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xv5\"><strong>Simon Says Clear Embossing Powder. <\/strong><\/a>The color was staying how I wanted it, so I continued on! I went through all the colors, the greens &#8220;balling&#8221; up more than the others, but it still kept the original color. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, some of the colors went a little awry when they dried back. But I still loved the texture that it created with the broken ink (it reminded me of broken colored frosting, with specks of darker spots). I finished the card off using the included <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xvg\">Hugs Die<\/a><\/strong> (one of my new favorites!) which I coated in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/31xvc\">Ranger Rose Gold Embossing Powder<\/a><\/strong> and backed with a piece of vellum.
