I am here today with a Christmas in July card. I had so much fun creating this card. When Spellbinders sent me this set to play with for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330au\">this release<\/a><\/strong>, I instantly thought of Laura Bassen and her BEAUTIFUL Tim Holtz Distress Ink Bottle Brush Trees. She used Distress Ink to color them into a Christmas rainbow! So I grabbed some <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/3305o\">Distress Oxide Inks<\/a><\/strong>, some blending brushes and went to town!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I used the following supplies when making this card<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330b0\"><strong>Tis the Season &#8211; Bottle Brush Trees Etched Dies<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330b1\">Tis the Season &#8211; Create a Christmas Sentiment<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2y29i\"><strong>Distress Oxide Ink &#8211; Picked Raspberry<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330bi\">Distress Oxide Ink &#8211; Candied Apple<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330bg\">Distress Oxide Ink &#8211; Ripe Persimmon<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2y29l\"><strong>Distress Oxide Ink &#8211; Squeezed Lemonade<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330bd\">Distress Oxide Ink &#8211; Twisted Citron<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330bb\"><strong>Ink on 3 &#8211; Liquid Pixie <\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2yvmg\"><strong>White Acrylic Paint<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330bk\">Gold Card Stock <\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2y28v\">Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb Cardstock <\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/30coh\">Simon Says Stamp 130 lb Ultra Thick Cardstock<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lovenotesbyjess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Rainbow-Brush.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-796\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lovenotesbyjess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Rainbow-Brush.png 800w, https:\/\/www.lovenotesbyjess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Rainbow-Brush-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.lovenotesbyjess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Rainbow-Brush-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.lovenotesbyjess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Rainbow-Brush-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/www.lovenotesbyjess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Rainbow-Brush-295x295.png 295w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I started by blending the oxide inks on to a scrap of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/30coh\">Simon Says Stamp 130 lb cardstock<\/a><\/strong>. I let it dry and then added a flickering of <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2yvmg\"><strong>White Acrylic Paint<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330bb\"><strong>Ink on 3 &#8211; Liquid Pixie<\/strong><\/a> to add a little shimmer. Once it was dry, I used both the backing die and the fringed one and cut out the trees from each color. I laid them in rainbow order, adding foam tape to the back on the <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2y29i\"><strong>Distress Oxide Ink &#8211; Picked Raspberry<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/2y29l\"><strong>Distress Oxide Ink &#8211; Squeezed Lemonade<\/strong><\/a>. I finished the card with a &#8220;Merry Christmas&#8221; sentiment from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/330b1\">Tis the Season &#8211; Create a Christmas Sentiment<\/a><\/strong>.
