Hello! I am back today with a beautiful happy birthday card using the Simon Says Stamp Garden Greetings stamp set from the Garden Greetings Card Kit for July. I also included the Folk Hummingbird from Pinkfresh Studios. These stamps went so perfectly together!
I started by using my Caran d’Ache luminance pencils to color the hummingbird. I stamped the image using Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink, which is a great color for no line coloring! I then went to town blending the various colors on the bird.
I then stamped the longer floral stamp from the Simon Says Stamp Garden Greetings stamp set and wanted to keep the card simple by keeping it black and white. I cut the hummingbird our and then cut out two additional white dies to pop it up. I added a Reverse Sentiment Birthday strip and some glossies. I found a vellum polka dot cardstock in my stash and a perfectly matched red/berry cardstock and viola!
