Hello Crafty Friends! I am participating in the Simon Says Stamp Blog party today with this beautiful Ink Smooshed card featuring the Dance and Twirl Stamp Set from the STAMPtember release! I also have a free gift opportunity for you for participating!
Here is a list of supplies I used to create this card…
- Simon Says Stamp – Dance and Twirl Stamp Set
- Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma Foam Tape
- Distress Ink – Seedless Preserves
- Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry
- Distress Ink – Kitsch Flamingo
- Distress Ink – Abandoned Coral
- Distress Ink – Festive Berries
- Distress Ink – Black Soot
- Distress Water Color Paper
- VersaFine Clair NOCTURNE Ink Pad
- Gina K Connect Glue
- Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock
- Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock – Card Base
I started by using a A2 sized panel of Distress Water Color Paper and a clear piece of plastic (I used the back of a random stamp sheet that I forgot to put back onto a stamp set). I smooshed the first color ,Distress Ink – Seedless Preserves, and spritzed it with water before using the plastic sheet to pick the color up. I concentrated the color in the upper left hand corner of the Distress Water Color Paper. I repeated this process in a clockwise rotation. I left the panel to dry.
While it was drying, I stamped this adorable ballerina from the Simon Says Stamp – Dance and Twirl Stamp Set. I stamped in VersaFine Clair NOCTURNE Ink Pad on Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock and then proceeded to cut the image out. At the same time, I used a sentiment from the set and stamped that on white paper.
After my background was dry, I used Distress Ink – Black Soot to create the splatter by smooshing it onto my media mat and adding a little water to it. I picked it up with a paintbrush and flicked it onto my panel. Then I let it dry.
Once it was dry, I added the panel to my card base using Gina K Connect Glue. I then glued the girl down with Gina K Connect Glue as well, and then popped up my sentiment that I backed with a dark purple cardstock and the card was finished!
