Spellbinders – Fluted Classic Squares

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card for you using Spellbinders new release of these beautiful Fluted Classic Squares. I had so much fun using these to create a border.

Here is a list of supplies I used for this card…

I start this card by cutting a A2 panel from Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock and embossing it using the Plaid Company Embossing Folder. I set it aside and went to work cutting the frames out.

These frames are unique in that the lines and dashes are a separate die that do not cut out. You have to use the singular dies around these ornate designs to create a frame. I aligned the dies so that they were centered within each other and then taped them together to ensure that they stayed when I ran them through the die cut machine multiple times. I wanted to create some height, so I cut it 4 times to then layer on top of each other. I glued them together using Gina K. Connect Glue.

I set the frame to the side to dry and stamped a set I received a few months ago in a Spellbinders club kit called Sending Floral Wishes Stamp Set. I used my Gina K. Amalgam Ink and heat set it to ensure that my alcohol markers would not smear. When I had it dry, I went to work coloring this beautiful floral image.

When I was all done coloring, I fussy cut the florals out and then went to work building this beautiful card. I finished it with some pink jewels and viola!
